What is a LUCID number?

A LUCID number is a unique registration ID assigned by the German Packaging Register (Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister). It ensures that companies comply with Germany’s packaging laws by taking responsibility for the recycling and proper disposal of packaging materials.

Why is it important?

If you sell products to customers in Germany, you’re legally required to provide your LUCID number. Without it, marketplaces may block your listings, and non-compliance could lead to fines.

Do I need to register myself?
